Southern Miss Esports Arena – Game, Compete & Connect at USM

The Southern Miss Esports program is a premier student-gaming hub and esports training ground at the University of Southern Mississippi. Tailored for competitive players, casual gamers, and community events alike, it offers pro-grade PCs, consoles, and a sleek, professional atmosphere designed to support both play and performance.

Located in the R.C. Cook University Union, the program comprises a dedicated esports arena (1,935 sq ft) and a neighbouring game room (2,554 sq ft), making it one of the most comprehensive student-gaming spaces on campus. The arena itself hosts the university’s nationally-champion teams and features 15 high-end gaming PCs (NVIDIA 3070 GPUs, i7 CPUs, 2 TB SSDs) along with PS5, Switch 2, and an iRacing rig. The game room across the hall adds additional gaming PCs, console stations, billiards tables, table tennis and casual seating for social play and student hangouts.

Since its launch and rapid equipment upgrades, the Southern Miss Esports teams have consistently picked up national-level titles and expanded the program infrastructure, including media production and live streaming capabilities.
