A 2,000 sq ft professional LAN center opened by the Soniqs esports team. Opened on March 27, 2023, the Soniqs LAN Center is a community-forward esports hub located at 19 S. Third St., right next to Harrisburg University’s new Education Center. Built and managed by the local pro esports powerhouse Soniqs, the 2,000-square-foot facility brings high-end gaming, education, and events to the heart of downtown.

The space is designed for impact, featuring Intel NUC PCs equipped with 12th Gen i9‑12900 CPUs, 16 GB RAM, and RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards, paired with 27″ 1080p 240 Hz ViewSonic IPS gaming monitors, and ultra-comfortable Glide Gaming chairs from Zipchair.

It’s more than just a gaming venue—this LAN center supports Harrisburg University’s varsity esports team (HU Storm), student clubs, casual gamers, and private groups. Patrons can participate in tournaments, socialize, spectate, or level up through educational workshops run by esports professionals.

The center also enables collaboration with HU’s academic programs—supporting classes in live-event production, broadcasting, video editing, podcasting, and esports management, making it a true hybrid of gaming and educational opportunity.

Harrisburg University formalized its partnership with Soniqs through this facility, which has become the site for high-profile competitions like the HUE Invitational, hosted with full support from the Soniqs team and bringing together collegiate squads from across the country.
