Esports Lounge – University of Wisconsin–Green Bay – Green Bay, WI, USA

A mid-sized student gaming hub supporting competitive and casual play. Located inside the University Union, Room 109B—right next to the Phoenix Club—the UW–Green Bay Esports Lounge offers a welcoming, inclusive space for both competitive and casual gaming on campus. The lounge features 18 high-performance PCs and two Nintendo Switch stations, set up with popular titles like Fortnite, Rocket League, Valorant, Overwatch 2, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Animal Crossing.
Designed with balance in mind, UW‑Green Bay hosts semester-based tryouts for varsity teams in games like Rocket League, Valorant, Smash, Overwatch 2, and LoL. These are supplemented with drop-in “free-play” hours, community-led events, and group reservations available to both student and off-campus groups. Reservations are submitted through the program’s form, and lounge staff will assist with group setup and involvement.
Community engagement is emphasized: the lounge promotes inclusivity, cordial behavior, and game accessibility. Students are encouraged to bring their own peripherals—though equipment resets are required after use—and must follow lounge policies regarding food, anti-harassment, and proper usage.
Support is provided by Esports Program Coordinator Kenneth Kresina, who oversees varsity team selection, facility reservations, and event coordination. The atmosphere is student-focused, welcoming both varsity athletes and entrants to casual campus gaming alike.
