The Walter & Shirley Fan Wang Esports Room – Columbia University, NY, USA

A cutting-edge varsity esports facility accessible to Columbia undergraduates. Tucked inside Wallach Hall, this esports room adds a tech-forward touch to Columbia University’s residential life. Unveiled at the start of the 2022–23 year, it blends gaming gear with engaging architecture to offer students a purpose-driven hub for play and connection.
The space features 18 Lenovo Legion PCs, dual console setups with towering 75″ screens, ambient LED lighting, and a striking 4K video wall. Game offerings span everything from League of Legends and Valorant to Rocket League, Minecraft, Marvel Rivals, and many more—making it both a competitive arena and a versatile lounge.
Access is thoughtfully balanced: recognized student orgs can reserve the space late into Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while residential students enjoy open-play hours earlier in the week.
