New Mexico’s largest collegiate esports hub—home to varsity-level teams, statewide invitational events, and student-led inclusive engagement programs. Housed in the Corbett Student Success Center, NM State Esports powers a thriving university gaming culture where anyone—from absolute beginners to seasoned competitors—can find a place to belong. On the competitive side, NMSU supports varsity-level play across a sweeping lineup of games, including Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, Splatoon 3, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Overwatch, Call of Duty, Halo, and many more—currently counting thirteen titles.
The facility also anchors the annual NM State Esports Invitational, a free, large-scale event held since 2022 for middle school through university gamers. It transforms the Student Union into one massive playground for tournaments in titles like Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Splatoon 3, Valorant, Overwatch 2, and even chess—fueled by spirited competition and community joy.
Beyond gaming, NM State Esports invites deep involvement: students can manage operations, recruit new players, produce content, or help build the growing esports ecosystem—supported through lively Discord channels and social media where the NM State Esports community stays connected and engaged.
